Why - How - What

Here's a bit of a different way of explaining the concept of intention.

Simon Sinek's simple and brilliant "why" is where I was going with the principle of understanding what you get out of your art. From a coaching persepective we try to avoid the question of "why" - as it usually does not result in an answer that is rooted in one's values, and can often leave someone to be defensive of their actions. Or you get the answer "because" - which is a complete deadend. But Sinek's forumla of WHY - HOW - WHAT is spot on ... and something many artists never get close to resolving.

Your audience is your customer, and you as an artist are a brand. Figuring out your golden circle will give you the internal confidence that so often is sought from external validation . All you have to do is start with your intention.
